 I have had alot of time to reflect on life.  Realizing the things that I encounter each day are also the blessings that keep me going; a strong yet compassionate circle of family and friends, amazing co-workers that are amazing friends, my youth and health, a boyfriend who is truly my rock, a cozy home, 120lbs of sweet slobbery love, supporters from all over who share a passion and encourage me to continue mine, and ohh yes... a sun that shines directly on my deck for the perfect afternoon nap.  When life takes an unexpected turn, it's crazy how much you appreciate all those little blessings.  The little things suddenly become large, and the love you feel for it all, is larger than life. Thank you for all the support.

Loving Lavender

 Forever 21 Blouse, H&M Jeans, Sam Edelman Platforms, Kimchi Blue Bag, Banana Republic Necklace.

A couple weeks ago I had posted about Mila Kunis' dress at the Oscars and how much I loved the lavender color {seen here}.  I found this lavender top at Forever 21 and swept it up right away; it's my first lavender piece in my closet.  The sheer fabric and soft water color print makes it a sweet piece for Summer.

So, when I put this outfit together, I didn't even realize it was practically all Forever 21.  I usually try not to wear SO much of one designer, but when you add your accessories, it definitely adds a personal touch/personal style.  No one will know that your shirt, pants, and shoes were each under $25. Quite a steal.

Classic Retro

Vintage Christian Dior Sunnies, Final Touch Dress, JCrew Bracelet, Vintage Bangle, Gifted Earrings, Schutz Booties.

The majority of items in my closet are either black or patterns of stripes.  I love color and all kinds of prints, but I find myself playing it safe through out the Fall/Winter.  A while back I had featured polka dots in one of my posts, but realized I didn't own a single dotted piece.  There is a very classic retro feel that I love about these lovely dots, especially in light flowy fabrics for Summer.  I found this dress at a local discount boutique {Len} and immediately knew it was the perfect piece.

I am ready for sunshine, rooftop patios, walks around the lake, laying out in my backyard, and BBQs.  I love the feeling of the sun beaming through my window and the sound of birds chirping EARLY in the morning.  It's so much more pleasant to start the week, when you wake up this way.  Dear month of May, I welcome you with open arms.  Now please don't do me wrong.

Ponytail

As seen on the runway for 2011 and  on our favorite celebs, it seems that the ponytail is back!  From a high sleek pony, to loose and swept to the side; the ponytail is an elegant effortless look for any occassion.  We also saw the ponytail in JCrew's Spring/Summer Lookbook (seen here).  You can also spice it up with a feather or perhaps a headband. Just be sure to wrap hair around the binder. Try it out!
